Southport Weekender 5

Southport Weekender is the leading event of its kind in the World - a full on mash up of hedonism and cutting edge House, Jazz, Soul and Latin grooves which takes place twice a year in the unlikely surroundings of the Pontins Holiday Camp in Southport.

The mix albums that celebrate the Weekender have attracted the same calibre of producers and remixers as the event itself - Volumes 1 to 4 have featured Joey Negro, Gilles Peterson, Miguel Migs, Blaze, Joe Claussell, Jazzy B, Quentin Harris, Dimitri From Paris, Tony Humphries and DJ Spen .
Volume 5 is on a new record label - Endulge - but keeps the quality control flag flying high both with the distinctive branded packaging and the DJ's supplying the mixes ...Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez from Masters At Work and Chicago house legend Terry Hunter.

They each come up with a blistering mix that veers from the unreleased and currently in-demand to revisiting some of house musiic's earliest and most iconic soundblasts. This series is already one of the leading branded compilations in the world and Volume 5 pushes the standard even higher.

From funk to soul to house & hiphop, it features tracks from Roisin Murphy, Leon Ware, Steve Spacek, J Dilla, Brass Construction , BT Xpress, Ron Hall, Robert Owens, Urban Soul, The Bamboos,Soul Creation & more !!
