 DJ Dealer from Pound Boys

Pound Boys Productions consists of DJ Dealer and DJ Craig C. These 2 have been working together since the early Nineties. What began simply with 2 dj's who had a similar love for House music, has since become full on partnership that has seen the pair dj around the world and remix and/or produce for legendary artists such as Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, K.D. Lang, Byron Stingly, Dajae and Kim English.

Meeting up while djing at various clubs in Denver, the boys decided to start a night together called The Compound. Beginning with a night called "Sweatbox", this partnership led to a 5 year run at this club doing 4 nights a week and showcasing come of the world's most talented performers - Joi Cardwell, Dajae, Kim English, Byron Stingily, and Ron Carroll were just a few of the artists that the boys brought to town to perform. Consequently, this pair became known as the boys from the "Pound" and the Pound Boys name was born. From there, the studio beckoned the boys. It was time to start doing original productions - playing records of other artists is fantastic, but creating something new and lending your own personality to the music is even more rewarding.

The Boys' first big break came when they were asked to do remixes of Joi Cardwell's "You've Got To Pray" (Eightball Records) - this song reached Number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Chart. Many original productions as well as remixes for labels such as MCA, Arista, Jive, Warner Bros., Sony, Azuli, King St., & creating music for the clubs, the Pound Boys sound always has soul with some funk, jazz, or disco thrown in. In 1997, the boys started their own label, LOOK AT YOU RECORDS. With 44 releases to date, the label has featured artists/remixers such as the Basement Boys, Blaze, Dajae, Bryon Stingily, Shawn Benson, Victor Simonelli, Bini & Martini, Johnny Corporate, Tedd Patterson, Soul Providers, Ron Carroll, RaShaan, Earl Bennet, DJ Pope, Connie Harvey, DJ Oji, David Harness and the Pound Boys themselves. Many of the projects on the label have had great success and some have gone on to even greater glory through licensing deals that have placed them on labels such a AM:PM, Time, Universal, Neo, Azuli, Scorpio, Sony, Slip 'N' Slide, Media, Blanco Y Negro, House Afrika and Ocean Trax.

In 2000, the Pound Boys' remix for Mary J Blige "Your Child" (MCA) once again attained a Number 1 position on the US Billboard Dance Chart. 2001 saw 2 original productions blow up the dance community - "K Pasa" and "Jack It Up". Both have been at the top of numerous worldclass dj charts ranging from Pete Tong and Danny Rampling to Tony Humphries and have been released on many labels in many different countries including England, France, Spain, Germany and Italy.

The Boys' remix of Angie Stone "Wish I Didn't Miss You" (US J/UK Arista) made a major impact around the world, achieving a #1 status on the US Billboard Dance Charts.
