2001..... Mr. Jigga was born, when Ben Hense, Sam Schroder and Darcy
Mcfall took their studio project into new heights with a full-scale
live music ensemble of local Melbourne musicians.
Their shows
incorporate an eclectic blend of party rocking styles from funk,
house, disco, breaks, to tasty electro and hip hop. The tracks are
mixed back to back with smooth transitions for maximum dancefloor
effect.
Since releasing
a single through Level Two Music in 2002, they have had many tracks
released onvarious compilations floating around at the moment, such
as nouveax:jazz and cosmopolitan (inertia), electrik (warner), and
moonlight recordings (warner).
After being
approached to do an album through Level-Two music, Mr Jigga have
been spending time in the studio coming up with new sounds and tracks
across a broad spectrum of styles and influences.
Mr Jigga have
also played at the St Kilda Festival and are Playing at the Melbourne
Good Vibrations festival alongside many of their heroes, such as
Blackalicious, Miguel Migs, Lee Scratch Perry, Crazy Penis, And
Giles Peterson to name a few.
