These are 2 DJs who know the Melbourne disco house scene like the back of their hands.

When the word disco is mentioned, Larr and Takse are always close behind.

On April 16 th, both of these two disco legends will be bring their rare vinyl, sought after edits and groove rhymes to the family sound system for an extremely rare event.

Playing a 5 hour one-on-one set of disco boogie, funk, boogie, glam, soul – and out and out black music, Larr and Takse are gearing up for a special night of funk infused speaker vibrations.

They first teamed up 10 years ago, back in house music’s heyday, and it’s been the same amount of time since they’ve performed together.

“We have worked together for over 10 years and our respective record collections feature some very rare records. We’ll be trawling through our record boxes, finding some elusive classics to drop for the funk lovers out there,” says Larr.

Followers of Melbourne’s clubbing habits will remember Mr. Take’s hot BBQ show on KISS FM.

For such a rare occurrence, the boys are ready and armed with records in tow.
