 Deepface

Melbourne's Deepface have produced a carefully crafted organic house EP.

With stunning rhythms fused with pop sensibilities, this is a slick debut outing.

Whether it be for the dancefloor or bar grooves or at home Deepface's EP will leave you impressed.

At the core of Deepface are Chris Corby and Fran Power. Its easy to understand where the organic sounds hail from:
Fran is classically trained violinist, while Chris an accomplished a guitarist as well as working as a protools engineer on records for the Avalanches, You Am I , Waikiki, The Mavis', Yamamoto and many others.

Rounding out Deepface is soulful singing sensation Shirley Davis. Shirley's voice adds another smooth touch to an already accomplished release.

"Been Good" is the first single released from the EP and is co written by Barry Palmer. Barry has had his hand in a number of successful song writing credits with the Mavis', 28 Days, Amiel and was also a member of the Hunters and Collectors. "Been Good" is as close as it gets to dancefloor pop, while the majority of the EP touches on vocal house, chill / downtempo late night rhythms and broken beats.

This is perfect for lazy Sundays and summer terrace mix sets.
