Since the release
of "Where would you be" on Soulfuric, Copyright's
profile has soared and their reputation of crafting tight, soulful
productions continues to grow with every release. Despite a mass
market which seems to reward much tougher sounds, Copyright have
stayed true to their roots, developing their soulful sound whilst
keeping the peak time dance-floor in mind.
Equally at
home writing and producing Gavin 'Face' Mills and Sam Holt have
enjoyed working with many of the scene's top vocalists over the
last couple of years. "Where Would You Be" has been followed
by "Good For You" with Angie Brown and their collaboration
with Lisa Millett, "Late At Night". 2003 also saw them
record "We get up" with Bryan Chambers for Dave (Joey
Negro) Lee's Z Records.
On the remixing
front, they have been in demand, particularly working on several
projects for Defected in the UK. Remixes over the last couple of
years include, Jay J's "Keep On Rising", "Don't Give
Up" and "Never Again" both by Kathy Brown, DJ Gregory's
"Elle" and "The Best Part" by Mind Influence
on Soulfuric Trax.
Their reputation
as DJs is every bit as impressive as their list of production credits;
they have over 25 years experience playing all over the world. As
well as regular appearances at some of the UK 's top clubs; Ministry
of Sound, L'America, Traffic, Blend, Cream, Angel Deelite, Garage
City, Sounds Heavenly and Out In The Sticks, Copyright keep up a
healthy schedule of gigs internationally. The last few years have
found them rocking dance-floors in Miami and Ibiza, not to mention
just about half of mainland Europe.
