 Jools Butterfield - Ragbull Records

Formed in the Summer of 2002 by ex Nuphonic man Jools Butterfield and Groove Armada's Tom Findlay and Andy Cato, Ragbull Recordings will be releasing soul and disco peppered funky grooves for the dancefloor.

Jools Butterfield, formerly ran Nuphonic Records in London, famed for it's releases by Faze Action, Maurice Fulton, Norman Jay, Dave Mancuso and Idjut Boys to name a few. Butterfield has a long history in dance music, running his own record shop in Cambridge for a number of years, before taking up the assistant manager post at London's now famous club, "The Blue Note". Butterfield also runs Ragbull's sister event company Lovebox.

With an ethos being to release funky grooves always with some dancefloor appeal, Ragbull has already obtained music from Dan Tyler (Idjut Boys), Patrick Dawes (Groove Armada percussionist), Gekko (Groove Armada's bassist !), Winston Chimes, Duji, Sweet Left Peg and Igloo, and GROOVE ARMADA.

Ragbull will be releasing a number of Samplers over the next few months, Tugg and Stef, Sweet Left Peg, Duji and Igloo are some of the artists to be included, followed by it's first LP project by Gekko. Gekko is the brainchild of GA's bassist Stan, a mixture of 70's and 80's quirky, funky and dub rhythms.

Also to come is Doin It After Dark Volume 2, a compilation mixed by Groove Armada, of old and new disco, deep and funky tunes that have rocked the dancefloors everywhere they have played at over recent years.
